Three WVC teams make moves

Hazleton Area moved up while fellow Wyoming Valley Conference members Wyoming Area and Holy Redeemer moved into the rankings in this week’s Riverfront Sports Super Six Power Golf Rankings of District 2 teams.

The new rankings were released Sunday night.

Hazleton Area moved up one spot to third among Big Schools.

Wyoming Area, in Big Schools, and Holy Redeemer, in Small Schools, are the new No. 6 teams.

Crestwood remained first in Big Schools and Lake-Lehman first in Small Schools.

The top two Big School positions and first five in Small Schools remained the same as last week.

Crestwood is followed by Abington Heights.

Lake-Lehman is followed in order by Scranton Prep, Riverside, Lackawanna Trail and Wyoming Seminary.

Hazleton Area traded places with North Pocono, which is now the No. 4 Big School after falling to Abington Heights with a shot at the Lackawanna League Class 3A Division lead.

Wallenpaupack held fifth.

Honesdale, from the Big Schools, and Montrose, from the Small Schools, fell from the rankings.
