Four basketball games at the top of the division standings highlight the Tuesday schedule in District 2 sports.
Division 1 leader Scranton Prep is at Division 2 leader Western Wayne in a Lackawanna League girls crossover game that is part of the division schedule.
Both teams are also defending champions.
In Scranton Prep’s case, the Classics have won four straight titles, going unbeaten each time.
Scranton Prep takes a 58-game league winning streak with it to Western Wayne. The Classics are 4-0 in the league and 9-2 overall.
Western Wayne is 5-0 in the league, 10-2 overall and ranked first among Small School girls teams in the My City Mortgage Super Six Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
Scranton Prep is ranked second among Big Schools.
Both Wyoming Valley Conference boys leaders travel to face the defending champions of their divisions
Hazleton Area (6-0, 12-2) is at Crestwood (2-4, 6-6) in Division 1 while Holy Redeemer (6-0, 11-1) is at Wyoming Seminary (1-2, 2-10) in Division 2.
The best game in the WVC, however, is likely to be the game where the two teams tied for second place fight to try to remain in the heart of the race.
Pittston Area (5-2, 10-3) is at Dallas (5-2, 9-3).
Dallas is ranked fourth and Pittston Area fifth among Big School boys teams in the Super Six. The Mountaineers won the first meeting, 56-52, Jan. 4 at Pittston Area when Austin Finarelli and Nick Nocito finished with 22 points each after accounting for every second-half point by Dallas.
The schedule includes seven boys basketball games, 12 girls basketball games, five wrestling matches, five girls swimming meets and four boys swimming meets.
