Titles will be on the line on the state, district and league levels Tuesday for District 2 teams and individuals.

Though it was delayed at the start because of frost, the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Individual Golf Championships are expected to conclude at Penn State University where several district golfers are in contention for medals and three, in particular, are in the Class 2A boys medal hunt.

Lake-Lehman’s Cael Ropietski and Michael Lugiano and Wyoming Seminary’s Nick Werner all broke par in Monday’s first round to reach the halfway point in the tournament in a third-place tie, two shots out of first. More details at: Golf – NEPA Sports Nation.

The District 2 girls tennis singles tournament will conclude, but has also been impacted by weather. It has moved inside to the TK Tennis Academy in Kingston for the semifinals and finals in both Class 3A and 2A, starting with 1 p.m. semifinals.

The Lackawanna League girls cross country championship comes down to two unbeatens meeting on the final day of the season.

Four other teams present potential threats in the cluster meet, but the title is likely to be decided by the outcome of Abington Heights vs. host Montrose. Both teams are 20-0.

Abington Heights freshman Anna Pucilowski has set course records in league meets each of the past two weeks.

The Abington Heights boys are also 20-0 and going for the title, needing to get past Elk Lake (17-3) and host Montrose (14-6) to finish ahead of Honesdale, which completed a 22-1 season Monday with three wins.

The Berwick girls volleyball team is also trying to complete an unbeaten regular season.

Berwick (13-0 in WVC, 16-0 overall) clinched at least a first-place tie last week and can take the title outright with a win at home over Nanticoke (6-6, 7-8).

Blue Ridge and Lackawanna Trail each have a chance to clinch at least a tie for first place in Lackawanna League girls volleyball matches. Blue Ridge (12-1, 16-1) is home in Division 1 against Western Wayne (8-4, 9-7) while Lackawanna Trail (8-5, 8-6) is away in Division 2 against Mountain View (6-7, 7-10).

Holy Redeemer (9-0-1, 12-2-1) can take the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 girls soccer title if it can win at home against Wyoming Area (8-1-1, 12-2-1).

Abington Heights, which has already clinched at least a first-place tie, can win the Lackawanna League Division 1 boys soccer championship. The Comets (12-0, 14-1) need a win at home against Wallenpaupack (3-8, 6-9) or a loss by North Pocono (10-2, 11-5) at home against Delaware Valley (6-4-1, 9-5-1).

Dallas and Wyoming Area continue to battle for the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 boys soccer lead.

Dallas (6-2-2, 7-3-2) is at Wilkes-Barre Area (5-4, 9-6) while Wyoming Area (6-3, 11-4) hosts Crestwood (3-6-1, 7-8-1).

Abington Heights (10-0, 10-3) can clinch at least a first-place tie in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 field hockey when it plays at Wallenpaupack (6-5, 7-8).
