Lackawanna League boys golfers are at Elkview Country Club Monday morning for their qualifying tournament to try to get into the District 2 Individual Championships back on the same course Oct. 3.
Monday’s tournament was scheduled for a 9 a.m. start.
There are up to 30 spots in the Class 2A tournament and up to 16 in the Class 3A tournament available, provided those players shoot 93 or better in the qualifying round. The league has 15 Class 2A and eight Class 3A schools.

The Monday schedule also includes a meeting of unbeaten teams to potentially decide the Lackawanna League girls tennis title when Abington Heights plays at Scranton Prep in the afternoon.
Tunkhannock (7-1) is at Wyoming Seminary (8-0 in WVC, 10-0 overall) in a Wyoming Valley Conference match.
Dunmore (3-1) takes its three-match winning streak to Blue Ridge to face the Division 1-leading Lady Raiders (4-0, 6-0) in Lackawanna League girls volleyball.
There are also boys and girls soccer and field hockey games on the schedule.
