Unbeaten Tigers, Comets move up

Two unbeaten boys teams moved up and one new team each joined in the boys and girls listings for the latest Riverfront Super Six Swimming Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

Tunkhannock and Abington Heights gained ground in the boys rankings. Fellow unbeaten Holy Redeemer joined the boys rankings while Elk Lake is new on the girls side.

The rankings, the first since Christmas because most teams were idle close to two weeks around the holidays, were released Wednesday afternoon.

The Delaware Valley boys and Dallas girls continue to dominate and hold down top rankings.

Delaware Valley (3-0) won its only meet since the previous rankings, 141-38, over Scranton.

Dallas (4-0) won three times by a total of 402-73.

The top three boys teams and top five girls teams remained the same.

Dallas and Wyoming Seminary follow Delaware Valley in the boys rankings where all six teams are unbeaten in league competition.

Tunkhannock moved up from fifth to fourth after posting a 92-85 victory over Hazleton Area, the former No. 4 team.

Abington Heights won twice to move from sixth to fifth and Holy Redeemer did the same to join the rankings.

Wyoming Seminary, Scranton Prep, Delaware Valley and Abington Heights remained in second through fifth.

The top four girls teams are undefeated including No. 3 Scranton Prep handing No. 5 Abington Heights its first loss.

Elk Lake joined the rankings in sixth after former No. 6 Tunkhannock lost to Lake-Lehman.
