The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association baseball and softball tournaments open Monday.
All of the District 2 champions have been determined along with some of their first-round state opponents.
The PIAA is allowing teams to use their home fields in the first round, provided those fields meet certain requirements. If the team on the top line of the bracket for each matchup is not able to host, it will still play at a site in its home district.
Before the state tournament opens Monday, the District 2 and District 4 runners-up in Class 4A baseball will meet in a play-in game Thursday. Honesdale (18-5) will play Montoursville (15-7) at Lake-Lehman at 4:30.
