The Royals won by scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-16, 22-25, 15-11.
Dan Marinelli had 14 kills, 10 service points and 9 blocks in the win. Charlie Floryan contributed 25 assists, 13 points and 5 digs.
The other three WVC matches all ended in 3-0 sweeps.
Tunkhannock defeated Hazleton Area, Berwick downed Crestwood and Wilkes-Barre Area beat Nanticoke.
The 25-17, 25-19, 25-10 Tunkhannock win improved the Tigers to 8-0 and kept them one-half match in front of Holy Redeemer.
Andrew Blockus had 27 assists and 5 aces among his 11 service points as Berwick defeated Crestwood, 25-14, 25-7, 25-20.
Blaze Croop also had 5 aces, along with 14 points and 7 digs.
Graham Marshman added eight kills and six digs. Zander Unger had six kills.
Blue Ridge bounced back from its first loss, a night earlier against Abington Heights, to pound Western Wayne, 25-7, 25-10, 25-6, in a Lackawanna League match.
Aiden Glasgow led the Raiders in kills (eight) and digs (nine).
