Wyoming Sem moves into second

Wyoming Seminary moved up one spot in the second set of Riverfront Sports Girls Lacrosse Power Rankings this season.

The Blue Knights went from third to second in the rankings, which were released Tuesday morning, with the help of a 7-4 victory over Lake-Lehman, the team with which they traded places.

Crestwood, the only team with an unbeaten record in Wyoming Valley Conference play, remains in the No. 1 spot.

The Lady Comets are 8-1 overall and averaging 15.9 goals per game.

Wyoming Seminary is 6-1 and leading the ratings race for the top seed in the District 2 Class 2A playoffs.

Lake-Lehman drops from second to third.

Wyoming Area held on to fourth with the help of Monday’s game in which it handed fifth-ranked Scranton Prep its first WVC loss, 9-7.
