Hazleton Area’s Logan Yakubowski and Berwick’s Madelyn Frey led District 2 swimmers each day of the Class 3A competition at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships at Bucknell University.
District 2 did not have any athletes score a team point during the Class 3A events Friday and Saturday.
Yakubowski was 27th out of 32 in the 200-yard individual medley Friday with a time of 1:59.05. He was 29th the next day in the 50 freestyle.
Frey was 27th Friday in the 200 IM and tied for 28th Saturday in the 100 breaststroke.
The top eight finishers earned medals and the top 16 scored team points.
District 2 had multiple medalists in each Class 2A session the previous two days.
