Dallas scored three touchdowns in the last 7:46 of the first half Friday night on the way to a 35-14 victory over visiting Dallas in the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 football opener.
Both teams had won non-league games in the opening weekend and were ranked among the top Big Schools in the Gaughan Auto Store Super Six Power Rankings. Dallas entered the game ranked second and Crestwood ranked fifth.
The game was scoreless until Brady Zapoticky threw a pair of short touchdown passes and Parker Bolesta ran 3 yards for a score as Dallas surged to a 21-0 halftime lead.
Zapoticky, who passed for 150 yards, hit Peter Harpersberger and Zach Paczewski for the scores.
Bolesta’s touchdown was his first of 3 while running for 138 yards.
Noah Schultz returned a punt 70 yards for a score to bring Crestwood within 21-7 going into the fourth quarter.
Bolesta scored from the 8 and 4, before and after Jaden Shedlock scored for Crestwood from the 1.
Paczewski caught 3 passes for 84 yards for Dallas.
Schultz carried 15 times for 88 yards and led Crestwood with 3 catches.
Shedlock, the freshman quarterback, ran 14 times for 60 yards and passed for 47 more.
Magnus Bibla led the Crestwood defense. He made seven tackles, including four for losses, and assisted on another one.
