Luke Morgan birdied three out of four holes midway through the match Saturday as Abington Heights defeated Valley View, 7½-1½, in a Lackawanna League Class 3A Division match.
The win allowed Abington Heights to improve to 3-0 and tie Honesdale for first place in the division.
Morgan was medalist with an even-par, 36 on the front nine at Glen Oak Country Club. He had birdies on 4, 5 and 7.
Robert Munley also had three birdies for the Comets, getting his at 2, 4 and 7.
Cade Kelleher won two points in the first foursome, winning both singles and his better-ball match with partner Conner Abel, 1 up.
Valley View’s Carson Bushta won his singles match.
Abington Heights secured the win by sweeping the three points in the middle foursome with the combination of Munley and Robby Lucas.
Morgan won both singles and better-ball, with Phillip Mathews, in the final foursome.
Valley View’s J.T. Homentosky split the singles point with Mathews.
