The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association has moved five state championship games scheduled for Friday to Saturday because of the forecast of rain and has made a change in one starting time since the original announcement early Friday morning.
The Mid Valley softball and Dallas baseball teams will each play title games Saturday.
Mid Valley will now play in a noon game at Penn State against Juniata in Class 3A. The game, originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday, had an earlier starting time when the PIAA first announced the postponements early Friday morning.
Dallas will play Bellefonte at 1:30 in Class 4A.
“We believe placing teams in ideal conditions will be in the best interest of all involved to participate in a championship contest,” the PIAA said in announcing the changes on its Twitter account.
Class A softball is still being played Friday at 11 a.m.
