Bucknell University swept the Patriot League weekly women’s basketball awards, including Rookie of the Week recognition for Cecelia Collins.
Collins, a freshman from Scranton Prep and the NEPA Elite Clark 17U girls team, was joined by Player of the Week Taylor O’Brien.
O’Brien and Collins both made the all-tournament team at the TD Bank Classic where the Bison won the championship by defeating North Dakota and host Vermont. O’Brien was tournament Most Valuable Player.
O’Brien had 61 points and 16 rebounds in the three-game week that also included a win over Iona.
Collins is second in scoring among Patriot League rookies at 11.3 points per game and fourth among all players in the league in field-goal percentage at 50.0. She had 44 points in three games.
