Bolesta leads Dallas to 44-13 rout

Parker Bolesta piled up the yards and the points Friday night.

Bolesta averaged more than 20 yards per carry while running for 4 touchdowns and leading Dallas to a 44-13 rout of visiting Abington Heights in a non-league football opener.

The Mountaineers led just 10-0 at halftime before Bolesta broke free for touchdowns of 65, 34 and 88 yards in a span of less than 12 minutes in the second half.

Bolesta went around left end for the 65-yard score, then added another touchdown less than three minutes later for a 23-0 lead.

Abington Heights got on the scoreboard on a 1-yard Shawn Theodore touchdown late in the third quarter, but Dallas again put two touchdowns together in less than three minutes.

Brady Zapoticky hit Zach Paczewski with a 25-yard touchdown pass, then Bolesta raced well beyond the 200-yard mark for the night with his 88-yard touchdown.

The last Bolesta touchdown increased the lead to 37-6 with 9:27 left in the game.

Mike Lewis ran 5 yards for a Dallas touchdown to put the last 7:15 into the Mercy Rule.

Bolesta ran 7 yards for a touchdown and Jace Chopyak kicked a 27-yard field goal for Dallas in the first quarter.
