Crestwood, Holy Redeemer climb

Four teams remained unbeaten and, consequently, 8 of the 12 spots in the Riverfront Sports Super Six Girls Tennis Power Rankings of District 2 teams remained the same.

The changes that did take place were minimal.

Crestwood swapped spots with West Scranton in the Big Schools, taking over third. Holy Redeemer traded places with Holy Cross in the Small Schools, moving into fifth.

Abington Heights remains first in the Big Schools while fellow unbeatens Riverside, Scranton Prep and Wyoming Seminary are still 1-2-3 in the Small Schools.

North Pocono is second to Abington Heights.

Crestwood is 6-1 with four straight 5-0 wins to take over third after West Scranton suffered its third loss.

Wallenpaupack and Delaware Valley are fifth and sixth.

No. 2 Scranton Prep has the better comparative scores against common opponents, but Riverside’s unbeaten and virtually unchallenged singles combination keeps the Lady Vikes in the No. 1 spot among Small Schools.

Dallas, the only Wyoming Valley Conference opponent to score a team point off No. 3 Wyoming Seminary, remains in fourth.

Holy Redeemer used its third straight shutout to take over fifth when Holy Cross lost for the third time and fell to sixth.
