Jaen Chatman made four 3-pointers, scored 21 points and locked up tournament Most Valuable Player honors Wednesday night while leading East Stroudsburg South to a 52-31 romp over Wallenpaupack in the Honesdale Jaycees Tournament championship game.
Logan Santos added 16 points and joined Caetman on the all-tournament team.
Jake Holbert led Wallenpaupack through its most effective stretch of the game and also made the all-tournament team.
Holbert had 7 of his 12 points in the second quarter.
East Stroudsburg South held Wallenpaupack to single digits in scoring in each of the other three quarters.
After the Cavaliers took a 14-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, the teams played an even, 11-11 second quarter.
East Stroudsburg South pulled away in the third quarter for a 41-23 lead.
Honesdale 62, Western Wayne 30
All-tournament choice Nate Hugaboom scored 18 points and joined Joey Taraschuk in putting Honesdale in control during the consolation game Wednesday.
Hugaboom and Taraschuk each scored five points to get the Hornets out to a 15-6 lead after one quarter.
Honesdale was already ahead 31-17 at halftime before Hugaboom scored eight points and Taraschuk again added five in the third quarter to make it 54-27 with eight minutes remaining.
Cayden Rose led Western Wayne with 10 points.
Dustin Ferraro represented the Wildcats on the all-tournament team.
