When Wilkes-Barre Memorial Stadium at the closed Meyers High School became unavailable, the Holy Redeemer football team needed a new home.
The Royals came up with three.
Holy Redeemer athletic director J.P. Aquilina revealed a revised schedule Wednesday in which the Royals will use fields at three other locations to play five “home” games, all at night and all but one of them on Saturday nights.
The Royals will play two home games at Northwest Area High School near Shickshinny, two at King’s College and one at Dallas High School.
Holy Redeemer had earlier reversed its home-and-home series with Holy Cross to open the season on the road at St. Anthony’s Playground in Dunmore. That is part of a schedule in which the Royals now play three straight road games to start, but finish up with three straight home games.
