PLAINS TWP. – Keith Sublett provided the lone event victory as Delaware Valley used depth and balance to capture the District 2-4 Class 3A Subregional boys swimming title Friday and Saturday at Wilkes-Barre Area High School.
Sublett won the 100-yard breaststroke and also took second in the 200 medley relay with Liam Fass, Eddie Nieves and Jake Manning.
Tyler Ingraham took second in both the 200 and 500 freestyles, behind Hazleton Area’s Chase Kaschak in both events, and the Warriors placed third in four events.
Logan Yakubowski also grabbed gold in two events, the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle for fourth-place Hazleton Area.
Kaschak, Yakubowski, Billy Hanson and Jay Rosenstock won the 200 freestyle relay, and took third in the 400 freestyle relay.
Derek Williams finished first in the 50 freestyle in the only individual event win for Abington Heights.
Keller Griswold won the 100 butterfly and took second in the 100 freestyle for second-place Williamsport.
Delaware Valley edged Williamsport, 314-299, for the title. Abington Heights was third with 227 points, followed by: Hazleton Area 164, West Scranton 109, Wyoming Valley West 88, Nanticoke 62, Scranton 45 and Wilkes-Barre Area 28.
