State golf team championships, the continuation of district girls tennis doubles and subregional girls volleyball and a sprinkling of final week soccer games make up the Monday schedule for District 2 teams.

The Dallas boys and Scranton Prep girls compete in Class 3A at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Team Golf Championships.

There are just six teams in each tournament after getting through district and, in many cases, subregional qualifying.

Dallas won both, beating the District 4 champion, on the way to Class 3A boys state appearance in a field that also includes Central Bucks West, Dallastown, Fox Chapel, La Salle College High and State College.

Scranton Prep advanced directly to the Class 3A girls state tournament by winning District 2. It is joined by Cumberland Valley, Downingtown East, Erie McDowell, Fox Chapel and Peters Township.

The District 2 Class 2A girls tennis doubles tournament, which was interrupted by inclement weather Saturday will resume at 2 p.m. with the last two second-round matches. There are 10 teams left, with 6 already into the quarterfinals. The two quarterfinals that are already set will begin at 3 p.m.

The remaining two District 2-4 Class 3A Subregional girls volleyball quarterfinals are also scheduled.
