The No. 1 teams remained the same and the list of 12 teams included is unaltered, but there were multiple position changes within the Scranton Golf Center Super Six Power Rankings of District 2 teams.
The first rankings of the regular season see Hazleton Area and Lake-Lehman move into the second spots behind Abington Heights and Scranton Prep in the rankings, which are separated by Big School and Small School.
North Pocono and Lackawanna Trail also moved up following the first week of the regular season.
The rankings were determined based on results through the end of Wednesday’s action.
Abington Heights is 2-0 and first among Big Schools (Class 6A, 5A and 4A) although it did have a tougher-than-expected opener when it won at home, 5½-3½, over Wallenpaupack.
Hazleton Area moved up from third to second with a 3-0 start that included both the best single score and best scoring average so far in the Wyoming Valley Conference.
North Pocono went from fourth to third even though it split two matches. The Trojans were impressive in defeat, losing, 5-4, to Small School No. 1 Scranton Prep on a match that came down to the final hole in the final foursome.
Dallas won twice, but slipped from second to fourth.
Crestwood also started 2-0 in the WVC and held fifth.
Pittston Area, which is 1-1 with the loss coming to Dallas, remained in sixth.
Scranton Prep started 3-0, all against Big Schools, to protect its place at the top of the Small School.
Like-Lehman has not played its first match, but has been shifted from third to second.
Holy Redeemer, which has two less returnees than anticipated from last year because of transfers, was dropped from second to third even though it won the opener.
Lackawanna Trail, the first team to get to 4-0, moved up from fifth to fourth, swapping positions with Riverside (2-0).
Montrose is sixth.
