The Golden Dome Abstract Super Six Field Hockey Power Rankings of District 2 teams remain unchanged from a week ago, but for two distinctly different reasons.
The new rankings were released Friday morning.
The No. 1 through No. 4 teams – Wyoming Seminary followed, in order, by Wyoming Area, Crestwood and Lake-Lehman – held their spots because they just completed a week in which they went a combined 11-0 and destroyed the opposition by a combined 88-2.
It was a rougher week for No. 5 Honesdale, which lost twice, and No. 6 Lackawanna Trail, which split its two games.
While the Lady Hornets and Lady Lions were losing in games against the top three teams in the rankings, none of the potential replacements has been able to build a resume better than those two teams. Honesdale has one of the victories over Lackawanna Trail, which boasts a win over Lake-Lehman and has suffered its three losses by a combined five goals.
