Tri-champions still ranked 1-2-3

The Wyoming Valley Conference’s tri-champions hold down the top three spots again this week in the Riverfront Sports Boys Lacrosse Power Rankings of District 2 teams.

The five teams that made up the rankings last week are also the five district teams remaining in the postseason, therefore there are no changes in the latest rankings, which were released Thursday afternoon.

Top-ranked Wyoming Seminary won to join No. 2 Delaware Valley and No. 3 Crestwood in the final three-way tie for first in the WVC, then won its District 2 Class 2A opener to reach the semifinals on a nine-game winning streak.

Delaware Valley, the top seed in the District 2-11 Class 3A Subregional, has a bye into the semifinals. The Warriors are on a 12-game winning streak.

Crestwood, fourth-ranked Scranton Prep and Lake-Lehman all won District 2 Class 2A quarterfinals in their only game of the week.
