Athens scored the game’s final 31 points Friday night to ruin Hanover Area’s season-opening trip into District 4 territory with a 44-6 victory.
The Wildcats took a 13-0 lead in the first quarter before Christian Torres found Jake from 19 yards out for the only Hanover Area touchdown.
Athens then scored the final 17 points of the first half and added a touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters to finish off the victory.
