Carbondale needed until nearly midway through the second quarter to produce the game’s first score, but then the Chargers piled up the points in a hurry.

The Chargers followed up 16 points in the last 7:35 of the half with 22 more in the third quarter on the way to a 44-0 rout of Hanover Area in a Friday night non-league football game between District 2 Class 3A teams.

Vincent DePalma and Logan Wormuth ran for second-quarter touchdowns.

DePalma and Davon Reams each finished with two touchdowns.

Reams had two third-quarter touchdown runs sandwiched around Reams scoring on a 25-yard pass from Guy Mushow.
