Lake-Lehman’s Colby Roberts

Lake-Lehman raced out to a 20-point lead in the first 9:07 and cruised to a 47-14, non-league football victory over visiting Riverside Friday night.

Colby Roberts and Cole Morio each rushed for more than 100 yards in the win. Roberts scored three touchdowns while Morio had a 73-yard touchdown run.

Roberts ran 14 and 37 yards for the first two scores and Mason Konigus added a touchdown for the 20-0 lead.

Noah Parchinski scored on an 8-yard run for Riverside in the second quarter, but Gavin Wallace hit Gavin Paraschak with a 21-yard touchdown pass for Lake-Lehman to give the Black Knights a 27-6 halftime lead.

Roberts ran 7 yards, then Morio broke his touchdown run to invoke the Mercy Rule at 41-6 with 4:36 left in the third quarter.

Joey Gaughan ran 15 yards for a fourth-quarter Riverside touchdown.

Treston Allen rushed 22 yards for the last Lake-Lehman score.

Lake-Lehman (4-5) will travel to Lakeland (9-1) for a rematch of last year’s District 2 Class 3A championship game in the quarterfinals.

Riverside (2-8) is at top-seeded Lackawanna Trail (6-3) in a Class 2A semifinal.
