Wallenpaupack did not need long to get started Friday night.
T.J. Schmalzle returned the opening kickoff 82 yards for a touchdown and the host Buckhorns did not stop running until they had done all their scoring in the first half of a 49-0, non-league rout over West Scranton.
Schmalzle, Mabret Levant and Shadrak Agyei each accounted for three touchdowns.
Levant threw three touchdown passes, two of them to Schmalzle. Agyei ran for three scores.
The Buckhorns (2-0) led 28-0 after one quarter.
West Scranton fell to 0-2.
