Two-way efforts fuel Chiefs rout

Nick Mancuso, Jaron Bullick and Lacota Dippre turned in strong two-way performances while Dominico Spataro continued his efficient passing Friday night as Lakeland remained unbeaten with a 42-21 romp over visiting Susquehanna in a non-league game between Lackawanna Football Conference teams.

Mancuso scored the first three touchdowns as Lakeland opened leads of 27-0 after one quarter and 42-0 at halftime.

Spataro went 10-for-12 passing for 240 yards and 3 touchdowns, including touchdown passes of 32 and 24 yards to Mancuso less than a minute apart fewer than 4 minutes into the game.

Mancuso caught 3 passes for 69 yards and ran 34 yards for a touchdown, making him one of four Chiefs to rush for at least 28 yards in a 153-yard ground attack. He led a strong effort by the pass defense with a pair of interceptions.

Bullick was the leading rusher with 49 yards and a touchdown on 5 carries. He also was in on five tackles and had the team’s other interception.

Dippre scored from the 4 on his only carry and caught a pass on offense. On defense, he had a sack, another tackle for a loss, an additional tackle and two pass rushes.

Spataro also threw an 85-yard touchdown pass to Jon Seamans in the second quarter. Through 3 games, he is 34-for-52 (65.4 percent) for 637 yards and a 9-2, touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Spataro also carried 3 times for 48 yards.

Susquehanna (0-3) did all its scoring while the second half was being played under the Mercy Rule.
