Zach Fox broke a 60-yard run just 2:49 into Friday night’s game and the Nanticoke defense did the rest for a 7-6 victory over visiting Susquehanna in a non-league football game between winless teams.
The Trojans (1-4) held the Sabers to fewer than three yards per carry and less than 50 percent passing.
Quarterback Colton Stone scored from the 1 in the third quarter, but Susquehanna missed the extra point.
The Sabers (0-5) have suffered two one-point losses on the road and a three-point loss at home.
